Soft Summer Makeup

makeup for soft summer

In 12 season color analysis, a soft summer is a summer that approaches autumn. As such, the colors are still cool but more muted. All the colors are neither too dark or too bright, but overall they read as cool. Taupes, greys and pinks are great for soft summers.

Eye Makeup For Soft Summer

Pink, grey and cool taupe colors look great on you. You can go darker and more sultry than Cool or Light Summer makeup, so make the most of it with a daytime rosy smoky eye if you want to draw attention to your eyes. If you’re going out at night, keep things simple with a light smokey eye.

For an everyday makeup look, try a neutral eye with a pop of pink blush. A matte finish will work best here because it won’t compete with the pink blush. If you have pale skin, use warm brown eyeliner instead of black.

Soft Summer Eyeliners and Mascara

Purples, plums, dark greys and lavenders look great both as eyeliner and mascara. Black will look too much on your delicate coloring. A cool cocoa brown is unexpected and looks great on Soft Summer. In fact, there is no other season that wears that color better (and it’s a pretty dark color for a Summer!)

Soft Summer Blush

Soft summer has a lot of pinks on their palette, so the variety of blushes is mind-boogling. Mate textures will look better on you, avoid coral blushes. Instead, choose a natural peach blush. It will be flattering on your complexion and will give you a healthy glow.

Lipstick For Soft Summer

A soft summer lipstick should be very light in tone. Pinks, peaches, and corals are all good choices. Avoid reds and oranges. They will clash with your skin tone.

If you’re looking for something special, try a rose gold lip gloss. It will add a little sparkle to your lips and will look gorgeous against your fair skin.
